Julia Grenda

Director

Born and raised in Perth, Julia is an accomplished singer, dancer and actress performing all over Australia & Asia for over 15 years. Accepted into the prestigious Musical Theatre Course at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Julia studied all styles of dance and performance and has performed in many musicals including Oklahoma, Rent, 42nd St, Loving Repeating, Song Contest -The Almost Eurovision Experience and Waist watchers the musical . Before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Musical Theatre Julia also performed alongside Debbie Reynolds in the musical Irene. 
In 2010, Julia moved to Melbourne to pursue a career as a performer and dance teacher at various dance schools before joining the Dance Network Family. Julia was the host of Looney Tunes Classroom Capers and Sesame Street both nationally and throughout Asia. Julia has completed The Full Time Acting Course at 16th Street Actors Studio and has performed in original works with Melbourne Fringe Festival, short films, and voice overs for TV shows including Winners and Losers. She has also appeared in many TV Commercials including Chemist Warehouse, Crown and SBS. Her TV /Film credits include Tin Man, playing the role of Dorothy, which won a Remi Award at the Houston Film Festival, Nappers, Blue Grace and was featured as The Pharmacist in ABC's New Highly Acclaimed Comedy Series, Super Wog. Julia also choreographed the production of Mr. Burns for Lightning Jar Theatre in 2019 which won a Helpman Award for Best Production and is a regular choreographer for Wyndham's Carols by Candlelight at the Werribee Mansion. Although an avid perfomer, Julia's real passion in life is teaching and helping students with their confidence so they become the best they can be. Having been teaching for over 15 years as well as dancing for 30 years, she continues to pass on her wealth of knowledge and experience to students all over Melbourne.
In her occasional spare time, she is a dance adjudicator for many Melbourne Dance Competitions, choreographs wedding dances and is also a Kettlefit Trainer at their Port Melbourne Studio. In 2014 she became the Managing Director of Dance Network in Hoppers Crossing and in 2017 purchased the studio and became the Owner and Director of Dance Network Hoppers Crossing.
Having lived in Port Melbourne for close to 10 years - her dream was to always open up a second successful studio in the heart of Port Melbourne so she can continue to inspire the next generation of young dancers!
